Jon Pawelkop,  FAA Recognized Air Boss

With 40 years of combined military and civilian aviation experience, Air Boss Jon Pawelkop has been in and around aviation his entire life. Jon holds an FAA designation as a Recognized Air Boss with LOA. He has also held a private pilot’s license.  Jon is a retired FAA air traffic controller, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He serves as an aerial conductor for all types of flying events ensuring that safety is kept a number one priority. Over the last 8 years, Jon has worked as an Air Boss at a variety of nationally recognized Air Show venues, from small community events to some of the largest air shows around, at both military and civilian venues. 

He’s also worked air and ground traffic control for fly in’s including 17 years at Sun N’ Fun, in Lakeland, FL.  As a Sun N’ Fun Controller of the Year in 2004, Jon was invited to  be a guest controller at the Oshkosh EAA Fly-in.  Jon has also worked private aviation ground traffic for some big events including Super Bowls, and the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA

Jon is a member of the International Council of Air Shows.

Pat Pawelkop, General Manager, Air Boss Solutions, LLC

Pat graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration, and uses her skills to manage the financial and marketing aspects of Air Boss Solutions, which keeps Jon free to manage the Aviation side of things.  Pat’s also a retired teacher, and a proud Navy mom. Pat volunteers and advocates for several causes near and dear to her heart.
