Celebrating the Tenth Anniversary Show at Planes, Trains, and BBQ

We’re getting ready for one of our favorite shows, right here close to home. Planes, Trains and BBQ Air Show in Tavares, FL just gets better every year. This year we celebrate the Tenth Annual PTB, with a line up promises to deliver our best show ever. 
Paul Schulten always gets the crowd on their feet with his beautiful Christen Eagle. Paul loves to have fun in the air and his dream is “to inspire the pilot in everyone.”
The Lima Lima Aerobatic Team was the world’s first six ship civilian aerobatic team, their origins going back more than 4 decades. Lima Lima will be bringing a three ship team to the skies over Lake Dora. This is a rare opportunity to witness one of the foremost civilian aerobatic teams in the world. You don’t want to miss this!
Another outstanding performer coming back to Tavares is Jive Kirby flying Wild Blue, “the little RV8 that wanted to be a Fighter Jet.” Jive puts on a great performance that’s fun for everybody.
Gene McNeely joins us this year with his T6. Gene flew the slot position for the famed AeroShell Aerobatic Team for the last 24 years. Gene is an active participant in the Reno AirRaces where he flies a T6. He loves building and flying his own homebuilt aircraft.
John Black will certainly wow the crowd with an amazing show of inside and outside maneuvers flown right to the surface in his American Champion Super Decathlon.
A great show over Lake Dora just wouldn’t be complete without the crowd favorite SOCOM Jumpers representing the combined talents of US Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. We’re blessed to once again have these Para-Commandos to help us bring in the US Flag. We enjoy being able to show our support and say thank you to these men and women who serve and protect American Freedom. 
Announcing the show this year is an upcoming star in the Aviation Industry. Luke Carrico is a true professional and exhibits that rare combination of exceptional polish, and youthful enthusiasm. He’s fast becoming a much sought after voice on the air show circuit. We are excited to introduce him to you at PTB. We know you’ll love him as much as we do.
